Normally, this wouldn't be a problem in the slightest. Mike is a great swimmer, and has amazing breath control. Not to mention that he's fantastic under pressure. Or at least, he used to be, as a turtle.

Something he's never felt before snaps on in his brain, and Mike is suddenly very much afraid of drowning. His knuckles whiten as his grip on Mel's hand increases.

Then he opens his mouth to call out to her, and finds himself with a lung full of water for his troubles.
