[Milliways: Suite 132 Suitewarming]
Lilly and Mel have out done themselves.
There's no theme to this party, no gimmicks, other than the 'welcome to our suite and please get very drunk' idea, and this aim has been faciliatated by the huge numbers of bottles of all sorts of alcohol covering the galley kitchen. The breakfast bar boasts five huge bowls of punch, the dining table is covered in assorted snacks and dips, and brightly coloured balloons cover the floor, and, despite the best efforts by a certain boyfriend to use helium for comedy voice purposes, the ceiling as well.
The door to the main bathroom stands open, and a large pile of freshly laundered towels stand on the way to the hot tub, above which a large sign declares: clothing optional.
Mel's bedroom door is shut and locked, protecting weaponry and other valuables, while Lilly's room is opened, and her Bathroom is very clearly labelled.
Out on the balcony, the barbeque takes pride of place among a vast amount of meat, just waiting to be made use of.
The centre of the living area is cleared, but a box of Twister has been placed very obviously on top of the locked entertainment centre.

He gulps from his current cocktail.
"Not much different from when we last talked actually. Tutoring Claire, learning from Arithon, teaching Gimli English. And Svava is about to start up my rune magic lessons again, I think."
no subject
"If you say so. I still say it'd be perfectly beautiful under a decent dress."
Then he thinks on recent events and grins at Indy.
"Oh, but, I do have news. My grandfather's come to Milliways."
Belgarath would probably appreciate this party. Belgarath would probably be in the hot tub already.

"Oh?" he says with a smile. "That's wonderful for you all. How's he enjoying it?"
no subject
He's laughing though.
no subject
"Sticking around then, I take it," he says with a grin. "I's like to meet him. Sounds like we'd have a bit in common."
no subject
He smirks, and then it fades.
"Though there's something he's not telling me. He's from my future, from a few years ahead of me...and there seems to be something bothering him. Of course, there's the trouble that seems to be starting here..."
He looks to Indy.
"Have...have I spoken to you about that?"
no subject
"Is Ce'Nedra ok?"
no subject
"Yes, yes, she's fine..."
He gives a rueful little grin.
"We even had a little fight over that TV thing you showed me."
A sigh.
"But I am worried."
He looks to Indy.
"If anything should, say, happen to me, you'd, uh, you'd take care of Ce'Nedra, wouldn't you?"
He turns away and stares at the floor and for the first time, it's not to avoid the naked.
"I don't mean to lay a burden on you, but I know she'd need someone. She wouldn't act like it, because she's too proud, but...she'd need people."

He looks at the party in full swing.
"I, uh, I don't want to bring you down. You were having a good time and I'm sure my, uh, attitudes about this sort of thing is already getting on your nerves."
Besides, there's not a thing you can do anyway.
no subject
"But if you'd rather wait..."
He doesn't shrug, and he's quite concerned.
no subject
His eyes turn to Indy.
"The sort-of dead one."
He looks out at the party again.
"I just... the last time things like this happened was before I... before..."
Garion sighs and his head drops.
"I'm just worried I'll have to do something, and I'm really not sure I'll be able to do it."
no subject
He touches his temple to illustrate which one he's talking about.
no subject
He really really hates the rules.

"So far? Nothing. I think he's as clueless as I am, which is disturbing, to be honest. Mostly he's just trying to keep me distracted...and keep my spirits up."
He smiles as he thinks of his bartending shift.
"I'm glad he's here."
He means it a little differently now.
no subject
He scratches his head. "Hell of a lot of people here who can help you out in a tight spot." Somehow, he has the feeling that his reassurance will be of little use.

He really really hates the rules.

"I don't know. If I knew, do you think I'd be this worried?"
He sighs and calms down before putting his drink down.
"I just know I'm going to have to fight."
His eyes are a little worried but a lot frantic as he looks at Indy.
"Don't tell anyone, please. I don't want to, and I wouldn't do it lightly, you know that. I don't like causing trouble. I'm just...apparently really good at it. Or fixing it. Or something."
no subject
"Nobody's going to begrudge you having to fight here, if that's what you truly have to do. Destiny is unopposable, really."
"If I can help in any way other than that you already mentioned, please let me know."
At the moment he's considering getting Garion extremely drunk, just to take his mind off things for a evening. And, the strength of the cocktails is such that it shouldn't take much. Indy has a nice buzz already.

The boy invents notes that weren't there before...and they weren't there for a good reason.
"I don't know I've done it before. And I don't know I can do it again."
And Aunt Pol isn't here.
It only hit him at times like this just how much he missed her, just how much he'd come to depend on her. His journey to Cthol Mishrak had been one thing, but he'd somehow been glad she was there for all of the horrible things that had happened there...because she was his Aunt Pol, his rock, the axis upon which his world turned for so long.
If it helps Indy, Garion takes a big gulp from his drink.
no subject
"I don't quite understand what you mean. How can you not know about before, if this thing feels the same?"
no subject
no subject
"Can it be any worse than that?"
