[Milliways: Suite 132 Suitewarming]
Lilly and Mel have out done themselves.
There's no theme to this party, no gimmicks, other than the 'welcome to our suite and please get very drunk' idea, and this aim has been faciliatated by the huge numbers of bottles of all sorts of alcohol covering the galley kitchen. The breakfast bar boasts five huge bowls of punch, the dining table is covered in assorted snacks and dips, and brightly coloured balloons cover the floor, and, despite the best efforts by a certain boyfriend to use helium for comedy voice purposes, the ceiling as well.
The door to the main bathroom stands open, and a large pile of freshly laundered towels stand on the way to the hot tub, above which a large sign declares: clothing optional.
Mel's bedroom door is shut and locked, protecting weaponry and other valuables, while Lilly's room is opened, and her Bathroom is very clearly labelled.
Out on the balcony, the barbeque takes pride of place among a vast amount of meat, just waiting to be made use of.
The centre of the living area is cleared, but a box of Twister has been placed very obviously on top of the locked entertainment centre.

"No, I guess not. Wouldn't take me more than two seconds to get from here to the lake. Though I suppose that if you wanted to, you could do something elaborate with the balcony and the rug and get some extra altitude." He takes a sip of his scotch.
"Hmmm. Good stuff. The boys bring it?"
no subject
"Yeah, but the fun is in havin' the rug in my pocket, and pullin' it out before I hit. Gotta be at least ten flights up for that.
"Nah, I arranged the spirits, mostly. Gave a list to Bar."

"Judging by this rotgut, you did a good job. Not that I know much about drinks, or that I can get drunk in the first place. But this does make a nice change from iced tea."

"You'd understand if you lived in a city like Haddyn. It's all three dimensions there. Gotta live with the Gees. You should get one. Although it maxes out and speeds you'd probably find slow.
"And when you have a constitution like ours, you drink for the taste. I like a good whiskey almost as much as I like a good Tequila.
"Well, and Indy's been coachin' me."
no subject
"I suspect Indy is a good teacher on this subject. While your boyfriend has many fine qualities, I look forward more to getting Indy as my bartender. Mike knows how to put on a show, but Indy knows how to drink." Which, somewhat surprisingly, almost seems to impress Barry.

"We can't get Tequila at home. The plant it's made from went extinct last century. So it's pretty much whiskey, beer or wine. And I don't like wine either."
Her wistful smile becomes a bit more of a grin at the talk of Indy. She loves both her boys in very different ways. "Shame he can't pace himself very well."
no subject
"He can't? That's a bit of a surprise. I always figured him as one of those two-fisted men of action who keeps sober while his enemies are falling around about him from one time many shots." Which is what Barry thought, but by now he's quite sure that he tohught wrong anyway.
no subject
"Nah, he's a lightweight. But he is a very very cute drunk."
no subject
"Beeter a cute drunk than an obnoxious one, or a mean one, that's for sure. Though, from what I'm told from before I got my powers, I was a dull drunk. I just fell right asleep."

"And dare I ask what kind of drunk you are now, assuming you somehow manage to either drink enough or drink something potent enough?
"Or is that something I'm better off not knowing."

Her hands have left their position from hugging her knees and are now closed over the rail either side of her feet, giving the impression that she's about to jump off.
"A giggly one," she allows, "and a flirty one."
no subject
"I think I will head back in and let you get on with the delicate business of hosting. Have fun, and congrats on the new place."
no subject
"Seeya later."
