[Milliways: Suite 132 Suitewarming]

Lilly and Mel have out done themselves.

There's no theme to this party, no gimmicks, other than the 'welcome to our suite and please get very drunk' idea, and this aim has been faciliatated by the huge numbers of bottles of all sorts of alcohol covering the galley kitchen. The breakfast bar boasts five huge bowls of punch, the dining table is covered in assorted snacks and dips, and brightly coloured balloons cover the floor, and, despite the best efforts by a certain boyfriend to use helium for comedy voice purposes, the ceiling as well.

The door to the main bathroom stands open, and a large pile of freshly laundered towels stand on the way to the hot tub, above which a large sign declares: clothing optional.

Mel's bedroom door is shut and locked, protecting weaponry and other valuables, while Lilly's room is opened, and her Bathroom is very clearly labelled.

Out on the balcony, the barbeque takes pride of place among a vast amount of meat, just waiting to be made use of.

The centre of the living area is cleared, but a box of Twister has been placed very obviously on top of the locked entertainment centre.

Suite 132 is open for business

He leans on the railing and looks down. He grins a bit.

"No, I guess not. Wouldn't take me more than two seconds to get from here to the lake. Though I suppose that if you wanted to, you could do something elaborate with the balcony and the rug and get some extra altitude." He takes a sip of his scotch.

"Hmmm. Good stuff. The boys bring it?"

"You crazy thrill-seeking fliers. Always trying to make us speedsters look slow and old." He smirks at her. "I think I hear that Timis offering to make rugs for all takers. I should probably get one," says a man who has always envied the fliers just a bit.

"Judging by this rotgut, you did a good job. Not that I know much about drinks, or that I can get drunk in the first place. But this does make a nice change from iced tea."

"Never did warm up much to Tequilla. But then, I used to hang out with cops at home. I don't know what they're like in your day, but in mine, it was either scotch or beer for that crowd. If it weren't for my wife, I probably wouldn't know a thing about anything but. And even after she taught me, I still never liked wine." He smirks a little.

"I suspect Indy is a good teacher on this subject. While your boyfriend has many fine qualities, I look forward more to getting Indy as my bartender. Mike knows how to put on a show, but Indy knows how to drink." Which, somewhat surprisingly, almost seems to impress Barry.

"Cocoa and whiskey...well, that would be something new." But, judging by his face, not to his tastes.

"He can't? That's a bit of a surprise. I always figured him as one of those two-fisted men of action who keeps sober while his enemies are falling around about him from one time many shots." Which is what Barry thought, but by now he's quite sure that he tohught wrong anyway.

Barry laughs at this. He tries very hard not to picture it, but the notion of Indiana Jones being "cute" is still quite funny.

"Beeter a cute drunk than an obnoxious one, or a mean one, that's for sure. Though, from what I'm told from before I got my powers, I was a dull drunk. I just fell right asleep."

He winces just a little, and finds himself very thankful that she's mellowed.

"And dare I ask what kind of drunk you are now, assuming you somehow manage to either drink enough or drink something potent enough?

"Or is that something I'm better off not knowing."

"A flirty one? Then I had better be careful not to let you get too drunk, lest Mikey and Sara get the wrong idea," he says with something of a grin. "And I'm not sure who I'd would be more scared of between the two of them." He looks out over the lake one more time as the light dims and night begins.

"I think I will head back in and let you get on with the delicate business of hosting. Have fun, and congrats on the new place."
