Lilly and Mel have out done themselves.

There's no theme to this party, no gimmicks, other than the 'welcome to our suite and please get very drunk' idea, and this aim has been faciliatated by the huge numbers of bottles of all sorts of alcohol covering the galley kitchen. The breakfast bar boasts five huge bowls of punch, the dining table is covered in assorted snacks and dips, and brightly coloured balloons cover the floor, and, despite the best efforts by a certain boyfriend to use helium for comedy voice purposes, the ceiling as well.

The door to the main bathroom stands open, and a large pile of freshly laundered towels stand on the way to the hot tub, above which a large sign declares: clothing optional.

Mel's bedroom door is shut and locked, protecting weaponry and other valuables, while Lilly's room is opened, and her Bathroom is very clearly labelled.

Out on the balcony, the barbeque takes pride of place among a vast amount of meat, just waiting to be made use of.

The centre of the living area is cleared, but a box of Twister has been placed very obviously on top of the locked entertainment centre.

Suite 132 is open for business

Deep cleansing sigh.

"I can't explain it. I've never been that scared before. You can't do what I do and not have a really good understanding of your body and how it works. This just totally takes that all from me. I can't move. Can't think. Can't act. It makes me angry...and....

i think i might kinda like it."

She smiles against him, and strokes his chest gently, in an action she hopes is reassuring: shows she's there.

"Nothin' wrong with liking it," she says. "Produces, um... 'drenalin or somethin'. S'why people watch horrorscopes.

"Why jumpin' off buildin's is so much fun."

A slight pause.

"It is OK to like it, right?"

Mike shrugs.

"No idea. You...you ever get like that?"

Mel thinks on this.

She spends a lot of her time with fear, honestly. Fear of being caught, fear of being hurt, of losing a fight, of hitting the ground...

...and yes, she loves it.

"All the time."

"How...how do you move?"

She pauses again, thinking.

"Because if I don't, I die?"

It's weak, but the only thing she has to offer.

"Or someone else does."

"Are you afraid of dying?"

A long pause. She really has to work out whether or not she is.

Finally:

"Not really."

"Until, you know....here. I never was. Not for one moment. Ever."

"And now you are?" Mel reaches up and smooths his wet hair against his temple.

"It's OK to be. Most people are."

He leans into her touch, and closes his eyes.

"It's not okay when I freeze up like that. It's not okay when I leave other people around me open to attack."

"Yes, it is," she insists. "Because you were safe. Nothing happened.

"And they only person open to attack was Senior Squeakins. And I think he'll get over it."

He doesn't want to smile, but he doesn't really have a choice in the matter.

"Oh Senior Squeakins!"

He bursts into mock tears.

Mock tears are good. Mel laughs at him, before continuing to stroke his hair.

"It's OK."

"He's so cold where ever he is. I know he is. I can feel it. I feel it in the very Senior Squeakins shaped hole in my soul!"

"Well, the lake isn't heated."

"We should have a funeral for him. Or at least some sort Memorial Service."

Mel blinks.

"I thought we did."

Mike picks his head up from her shoulder, and looks up at her puzzled.

"Did we?"

"What was with the black condom, then?"

Additional blinking.

"Ninja?"

He offers weakly?

She grins.

"You never wear black for ninjing."

"Well...no. It's too obvious. I mean, if you wear a lot of black it tips people off that you're up to something.

Dang, if we've already had a service, then we can't have a second one, can we?"

"We can if you want?" she volunteers. "He was a very good duck."

"He was. He was very kind to the both of us. His service should not go unrecognized."
